Hello, my name is [Star]! MY VITALS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Home town: Tempe, AZ Favorite Book: Probably Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness. Summer Session Enrolled in ENH241: Summer 2009 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MORE ABOUT ME... Why are you taking this class? Although this class is required for English majors, I still would have enrolled. I want to lean my B.A. in Creative Writing, and continue to graduate school for my M.F.A. I have heard that, for writers, the greater the knowledge in literature the better. Although, I think literature applies to everyone. ;-) I also feel that I need more of an understanding in American Literature, especially with the classics. So, I am looking forward to learning this semester. Why this particular class instead of another class that fulfilled the same requirements? Actually, I already fulfilled my humanities requirements. I figure it is best to take this course now so I can strengthen my writing. Also, I have taken online courses in the past and preferred them. What do you want to learn from this class? As much as I can. What do you expect to do in this class? Read. Think. Write. Work. Discuss. What else you should know about me: I am a slowly improving writer. ;-) Usually I am a serious-type person, but sometimes my sense of humor creeps up on me. I moved west several years ago and, frankly, I don't know why I didn't move this way sooner. My hobbies are writing, reading, T.V., and video games. I have been a gamer for twenty years now. Yikes. ...but, I have been writing for even longer. Favorite movies that come to mind are Secret Window and Dracula: Dead and Loving It. The first is horror, the second a comedy on horror. ;-) Actually, my family loved them. Sometimes it is the memories which help form my favorites, and not just my personal preference. I guess that is it for now. I look forward to working with you all this semester. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SAY HELLO!
