Why are you taking this class? It's required for my Secondary Education degree for a focus in English. Why this particular class instead of another class that fulfilled the same requirements? This is over the summer, it is required, andconvenient for me to take online to save travel costs. What do you want to learn from this class? What American authors pre-1860 that I should truly appreciate, rather than my closed mindset that most American authors weren't the most talented compared to the British. What do you expect to do in this class? A ton of work. I read the syllabus and freaked out! Working almost full time and taking care of the house while my mom is gone on top of this class is going to be a ton of work! What else you should know about me: I'm heavily dedicated to my true dream, ballroom dancing. I absolutely love music! I'm addicted to facebook, twitter, and Apple products. I work at a Starbucks, and definitely love Caramel Macchiatos :) Despite loving dance and glitter, I'm a tomboy on the inside (13 years of Tae-Kwon-Do does that do you). I love symphonic metal music. I hate the color pink. I'm not much of a reader, but I hope to become one because of my major. I love writing anything except really hard research papers.
