This source seems very reliable because it was published by Cambridge. I like that the book gives a history of all literature and not just one specific period. It makes it easier to understand how experimentalism effects literature.

I really like this source because it doesn't just define the term experimentalism, it gives examples of its usage. It seems like a very accurate and reliable source, and I would definitely use it.

The information on experimental literature was interesting, particularly its historical progress. Normally WikiPedia is a fairly reliable place to start research and get an overview. However, as noted on the top of the page, the article needs addition and citation. So, I think this source isn’t very credible.

This is a helpful source, and credible because it cites dependable sources. The definition is direct and easy to understand. It helps me to consider how experimentalism goes against the previous eras, or convention. This not only applies to the Romantic and, later, Transcendental eras. Today, in America, our culture still prefers experimentalism over the expression of traditional principles. There are exceptions, and originality is sometimes ridiculed. However, basically, the extent of experimentalism is the American definition (and measurement) of creativity.

This source improved my knowledge of experimentalism because it laid out criteria to analyze if a text fit this theme in a simple manor. his source is credible because the authors are clearly stated and it has been reviewed by many other authors.

This source opened my eyes to a different view about Experimentalism. The definition given made it relate to more of the texts I read. This source is credible because the author was a teacher of education at Columbia University.

this resource is very useful in understanding the different techniques being used in experimental writing today such as science fiction and the randomness involved. From a credible source it better helps me understand this theme.

This resource is a definition website but very useful in understanding experimentalism "use of new techniques: the use of new techniques in artistic, literary, or musical works". Great resource definitions help me open up my mind.

Although this website is a definition based site, it also gave a brief description of the theme which was helpful. Rather than just stating the definition, it gives background as to how it is used in literature. The facts that it also gave different meanings for the theme helped me better adapt it to what I was studying as well. I also found the links to additional resources to be really useful as well.

This was an interesting take on the theme of experimentalism. It’s not relating to literature, instead it relates to experimentalism in education. I’m not exactly sure how the two correspond and I also found it difficult to make a comparison between the two that could help me learn about how I can relate the theme to my texts. That being said, it was interesting to look at it from a different perspective and see how it can be applied to different fields of study.

It was easy to understand the meaning because it was a dictionary.. however, i would prefer to use a more reliable dictionary other than MSN.com because they don't specialize in dictionaries.. like Oxford, et.c

I feel like this site was very helpful as far as defining and allowing me to understand experimentalism, however I don't know if about.com is a very reliable web site.

I like that this website defines experimentalism as breaking the rules and it isn't a bad thing. I also like that it makes you feel like the speaker is talking to the reader as if they are going to be writing literature using experimentalism. It helps you to compare writings to the theme.

this source gives a definition in the means of science not in literature. If I was looking for information for a science class it would be useful but in this case it really is not the best source to use.

I found this resource to be very informative. It provided a coherent definition but also gave links to other terms, literary periods, and authors that reflect experimentalism. I would use this resource again to research new terms and ideas.

I liked this resource because it gave a working definition of experimental fiction that I could apply to other texts. I also found it helpful because it provided suggestions for further reading in case someone wanted to research the subject further.

10: To be perfectly honest, I found this source highly entertaining. It was very hard to take seriously however, because it provided a pig latin translation of the word, and anagrams for scrabble, which may be useful I suppose, but I found humorous more than informative.
12: I really liked this resource because it provided a number of different definitions including a literay defintion. I think that t is valuable in understanding the term so that it can be applied as a theme.

I didn't like this resource because it really didn't give an information on experimentalism and what it means. It was about one authors use of experimenting and as I skimmed the pages I had a hard time finding an useful information. I really liked my resource better because it was more organized and clearer on the defintion and uses of experimentalism.

This website gives a definition to the term experimenalism and how it relates to literature while my resource gave more indepth information into how authors use voice, tone and style to experiment in writing. I thought this resource was usful for the definition but liked mine better because I had a better understanding of how and when authors are experimenting.

Eaker, Gordon J. “Pragmatism and Idealism in Literature.” College English 2.5. February 1941: 451-462. JSTOR. Cline Library, Flagstaff, AZ. < http://www.jstor.org >
This article talks about what experimentalism means for literature. It says that it really means breaking out of the box and not folding into the status quo. This really applies to writers such as John Adams and Benjamin Franklin because they wrote on subjects that were very controversial and spoke their opinions regardless of whether or not the public wanted to hear them. I found this helpful because it shed a new light on the works of Jefferson and Adams. This website is credible because it came from a database used by many universities.
